What this notice covers
This notice explains how personal information submitted through the BRiX Dunsborough website is handled.
Information collected
The booking-request form may collect:
- your name;
- email address and mobile telephone number;
- requested check-in and checkout dates;
- the number of guests;
- how you heard about BRiX; and
- information you choose to include in your message.
Please do not send card numbers, identity documents, passport or driver’s licence details, dates of birth, sensitive medical information or other unnecessary sensitive information through the form.
How information is used
Information is used to assess availability, respond to the enquiry, prepare a booking offer, administer a confirmed reservation, communicate about the stay, resolve issues and meet legal or record-keeping obligations.
Availability calendar
The public availability calendar displays blocked date ranges only. A server-side service retrieves connected calendar feeds and removes event titles, guest names, contact details, booking references and other event descriptions before date information is sent to the webpage.
The browser may temporarily cache blocked date ranges to keep the calendar useful if a calendar service is briefly unavailable.
Netlify forms
Netlify receives and stores the form submission so BRiX can review and respond to the request. Netlify’s own terms and privacy practices also apply to its service.
Payments
The BRiX website does not collect card information. If a guest later uses the secure payment method supplied with a booking offer, the payment provider receives and processes payment information on its own secure page under its privacy practices.
Sharing and sale
Personal information is not sold. Information may be shared with service providers where reasonably necessary to operate the website, process a later payment, administer a confirmed stay, comply with law or protect legitimate rights and safety.
Storage and security
Reasonable steps are taken to protect personal information and retain it only for as long as reasonably required for the purposes described above and applicable legal obligations. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Access and correction
You may ask for access to personal information held about you or request correction of inaccurate information, subject to applicable law.
